MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I'm Amy, founder of The Good Sleep Method.
​
I'm a Certified Sleep Consultant Practitioner for Adults & Teens (Dip) and am passionate about using sleep as a tool to maximise long term wellbeing, health & performance.
​
I know, with confidence, that EVERYONE is capable of being a 'good sleeper' & I have honed The Good Sleep Method to give you the tools & techniques to achieve this.
MY STORY
"I always thought I was a 'good sleeper', until I wasn't..."
​
Having grown up through childhood & into early adulthood as a championship level sportsperson (figure skating no less), I realised the importance of sleep on performance from a young age. Having healthy sleep habits and regular routines was critical and became a way of life.
​
Further down the line, this was thrown into disarray upon having a child, as it is for all new parents. Of course, this was when I realised the impact of sleep more than ever.
​
After around 6 months, I worked with a Child Sleep Consultant to help my son sleep through the night. It worked wonders, was the best money I'd ever spent & soon I had an angel sleeper on my hands!
​
So it was somewhat of a shock when I then developed chronic insomnia, while my son was sleeping undisturbed. Having a new born and a significant period of stress, plus interrupted nights, resulted in long middle of the night awakenings and early morning wake ups which I just couldn't shake.
​
After embarking on a long journey of research and slowly retraining myself to be a better sleeper once again, I realised that with the right knowledge and sleep habits, small changes can have a big impact. This became such a passion that I eventually turned it into a career to help as many people as possible.​
​
And so, The Good Sleep Method was launched...
